WHAT IS A PAEDIATRIC DENTIST?

Paediatric Dentistry is one of the 7 recognized dental specialties in Singapore. A specialist in Paediatric Dentistry typically has completed 3 years of additional education (after four years of dental school) and has met the specified requirement for recognition to be a dental specialist by the Ministry of Health and the Singapore Dental Council. A specialist in Paediatric Dentistry are experts in the management of a wide variety of oral conditions in infants, children and adolescents. They are also trained and qualified to care for patients with medical, physical or cognitive disabilities.
