WHAT IS A PAEDIATRIC DENTIST?

Paediatric Dentistry is one of the seven recognized dental specialties in Singapore. A Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry would have completed three years of specialist training (after four to five years of basic dental school) and would have met the recognition requirement to be a dental Specialist by the Ministry of Health and the Singapore Dental Council. Specialists in Paediatric Dentistry are experts in the management of a wide variety of oral conditions in infants, children and adolescents. They are also trained and qualified to care for patients with medical, physical or cognitive disabilities.
